God's plan for us

Tomorrow is my last day of my short break before I start working for EIGHT days with only one off day in between 4 days so that's a 4days on-1 day off then another 4 days of work. I sure am not looking forward to this. After that I will be flying off to Dunedin for a short holiday. Anyway, let's rewind to last Sunday where I spent the entire day thinking and worrying about something which I should not. Let me tell you that God is really good because He gave me the solution indirectly. I said indirectly because the decision still lies upon my own hands.

The topic for night church was FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD (this is inspired by Wizard of Oz). I personally have never watched it so it was a new thing for me but I could follow the message well last night. Before I start writing, I would just like to share the website of the church I go to. It is www.elim.org.nz

Okiedokes..here I start. God has plan for each and every one of us. If you believe in Him, you are automatically in his plan so there's no way you would be missed out by Him. It is actually harder to be missed out by God so do not stress out thinking if you have missed what God has for you in His plan. There is more than one way for God make you reach the final destination. Please bear in mind that it is the journey that is important and not the destination. Each journey is different. One may be easy and one may be full of obstacles but both will lead to the same end point.

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Every decision..which job, which guy/girl, is that the one? is He/She the one? Is this the plan you have for my life? As I have said before, don't be afraid that you missing the whole plan because God knows the plan for our life but we don't. It is wrong way of looking at the idea that we will never make it if we miss the plan. He sure has a plan for us but there are a whole lot of way that we can get there. Some route are easy and some are hard.

Roman 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

God gave us a few companions for us to be in the right job, right place etc.
First - BRAIN - most complicated or complex thing on earth. Even the most powerful and advanced computer can never come close to our brain. We use our brain to analyse, to think about decision at cross road and give us the ability to think in reason.

Second - HEART - carry holy spirit and word of God. Holy spirit lives inside us.

John 14:15 - If you love me, keep my commands.
John 15:13 - Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

We first develop relationship with God then start develop this with the holy Spirit..This is what we call faith

Psalm 119:105 - Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Third: En-COURAGE-rs - People will tell you if one thing is correct for you. Outsider can see our strength but we can't because we always remain humble.

Proverb 11:14 - For lack of guidance a nation falls,  but victory is won through many advisers.

We must get out of the yellow brick road mentally. For example, you go to a harbour and see lots of ship. but you are not sure which one is God's plan? but bear in mind that God could use every boat for us so even if we miss one of the boats, there's still another one out there. he can use lots of things to bring us to the place so we will never be missed out.

God's plan for us is a journey and not a destination.

Proverb 3:5-65 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

To reinforce, it is indeed harder to miss his plan as it takes a lot of effort to miss it. We are so set on our dream but please do ask God what He wants us to do. but God will ask us to choose and no matter which one we choose, he will still bless us..at the end of the day, decision lies upon our hands with the help of out 3 companions.

Everything that we do is not a waste of time..For example, as what the pastor himself has said..his 4 years of degree in education has equipped himself to be a better youth pastor.

Also, stop thinking that s/he's the one for me, what if we get married and he's not the one..think about this..there's a lot of the one..Love and marriage is a decision..we make the decision and hence he is the one. God brings people to cross pat, to come together..but stop waiting for the one..you should make your decision now and every decision you make, God will bless you.

Before I post this entry, I would like to thank God for everything..my education, my relationship and even the smallest things that happened in my life. Jesus is good. I will never forsake Him because even if all others abandon me, I know that He will always be there for me.

Let me share a little bit of my education story (relationship story too? I will save it for later if I remember. Heee) I was in a big dilemma when I got the offer to study pharmacy in Nz. I seek a lot of opinions and of course different people gave me different answers. That's the time I used my brain to analyse all of these and make a decision to come to study here. I admit that I regretted when I was in first year health science because it was only when I came here, I knew I would not get blacklisted for rejecting the scholarship and could have waited for UK's instead which has always been my first choice. After that I went to an isolated rural area for my rural pharmacy placement. It was not a good experience on the first day where I felt so lost and did not know where to head to. On the last 2 days there, I met a lovely pastor and his wife who taught me a lot about christianity. Lastly, I came up to Whangarei to do my internship. Believe it or not, north island is never in my list. I have always wanted to stay in dunedin or  go to Christchurch. For both my scholarship and internship, I just applied for the sake of applying and wouldnt even care if I don't get it. Strange enough, I got offer without any effort. See, it is really hard to miss God's plan for me. And I strongly believe that the main reason for being placed in Whangarei is the church here. When I first joined the night service, my heart dropped and shed tears of joy. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! I also want to thank God for the other people in Dunedin that I have met who bring me closer to God, reconnect and commit my life to Him.

I tend to always get the things that I don't want but I know everything is in His plan including loving oats. :)
