What's the MOST EXCITING thing at work today? Believe it or not, after lunch, I had a script for a paste that I need to make. Okay, it took me about 45 minutes to produce a 100g of 40% salicylic acid in WSP. After that, I was asked to make a messy liquid so obviously, it made the sink area 'blotchy'. After cleaning up and dispensed 600ml of 8% magnesium hydroxide liquid, I found another cream that awaited me. When I looked at the script...OMG...Salicylic acid and coal tar in 1% hydrocotisone cream! Grr...and what's more 500g! Okay..I took my sweet time because I need to make sure that my end product is free from lumps. Yes! done! I bid farewell happily to my collegues and said "I won't come back again after making these 3 products in a row"
When I returned to the dispensary (at the bench) with my finished product, I cheerfully said that I finally see the light here! Sigh..I said too soon because there's a suspension that need to be made up too! I took the script from the tray and went back to the compounding room to find my colleagues say "Hey, you are back again!" ..yeah I am...This is a fairly easy one. It is 75 ml of terbinafine suspension. Okie! Done! Before I left, I was just making a statement, "I am expecting folic acid suspension because it is a weekly pickup"
Then returned to dispensary and skali banar ada folic acid suspension's rx. Me and my big mouth...Okay...I need a break first. Therefore, after my 10 mins break, I started this suspension. It was really quick cos' I basically do it almost every single week. I just went out again and checked a patient's file to see if she might collect her thyroxine suspension or hydrocotrisone suspension today. I was happy that she still has about 3 days worth of her suspensions. Hence, with a sense of relief, I finally was at the end of the tunnel.
After dispensing one script, my colleague asked me the standard mixture for shingle. I said 3.6% of aspirin in chloroform. In my head...Oh no! don't tell me it is another one. yes! It is a compounding too! Okie! I closed a series of compounding event with 100ml of 3.6% aspirin in chloroform liquid. What a day! 6 products man!
Enough about those products and let me take you back to 2 weeks ago when phoebe's friends came over from Whakatane and Sydney for a short visit. I joined them for dinner at Tonic at Kamo on the day before they left. I am lazy of writing now so let pictures do the talking.
I would go back to this restaurant again for its food and desserts! I rate the food and service A! After that we went back home for phoebe's home made delicious egg tarts. Thanks!
