Day 4 of training day in Auckland

There was a mixture of feelings on this last day of training because I never thought I'd enjoy the marvelous 3 days of meeting new friends and gaining new knowledge. It was a great relief to know that training days were finally over but these days were really like a short holiday (No need to work). The most regretful thing is I didn't take group photo to add into my "visual memory" collection.

Lunch was pretty good

All the beautiful memories ended with Maori education. Pretty interesting especially the way they greet people which is known as "Hongi" (Nose to nose which reminded me of eskimo kiss)

After that, I went back to my room and as usual, I took a quick nap before picking Joanne up to meet up with Nina and others. Thanks to nins for organising this fabulous dinner to catch up before going back to Whangarei the next day.
At Joanne's flat

Arrived at Sylvia Park. Jo with FAT pole!

Still living in my childhood moment

look at that pair of sexy legs! Phewwwitt

Let's catch a movie, shall we?

Arthur! Where shall we eat? You choose! Nandos? Jap?

Initially, we chose Nandos

Thanks nina for the early b'day gift :)

We then changed location cos'  . . . can't remember *I am at high risk of developing Alzheimer's in the future* . . .

Hot Twins!

Just want to be close to you Jo . . *blush*

I spoiled the photo by not wearing black

Wagamama - A japanese restaurant with nice food and ambience

For more information about this restaurant, go to www.wagamama.co.nz

People, I can't recall the name of the food -_-" Should have blogged immediately but I can tell you the food is yum!

Even though shirlene was tired after work, she still turned up. Arigato!

Miss your HK face!

Was supposed to go back to the hotel but ended up in a dessert shop like kopitiam which felt like home

Smells like home too!

I miss home

Something with sesame seeds -_-"

Day 3 training in Auckland

J's Tea, a Taiwanese eatery located at Dominion Road in Auckland, gave me a feeling of being in the Asian community, just like those I watched in Taiwanese Dramas. Felt very good. After training, I just picked Jo up from her flat and headed to this restaurant. We waited for more than half an hour for Bea and her friends. As usual, Bea rushed here from work. Aiya, that chabo is always on the go.

Finally, I got to indulge in my favourite Matcha milk tea but then, I still prefer Ancestral's in Christchurch.

Really don't want to take pic ah? Bea's very enthusiastic leh...

The popular dish - Braised mince pork with rice! I really love it

We also ordered these side dishes - bamboo shoot, braised eggs, braised beef and chicken liver

Day 2 of training day in Auckland

Lub-Dub-Lup-Dup . . . Day 1 of my intern training commenced at 8.30am. First thing, all of us were assigned into different groups. Guess that was random selection. The best part about training days were morning and afternoon tea breaks and lunch! I just felt like in Uni again. Sigh, I really miss uni life now, not the exam and study part tho.

 Day 1 lunch

After lunch

Susanla, from Otago, & Jo, an oversea pharmacist

One of the Auckland grad. She's very brainy!

The training ended one hour earlier and hence I met up with Jo at Chocolate boutique which she said it is a must to try. She mentioned that too when I first went to Auckland this year. Finally, I got a chance to check this cafe out.

Captured this before the owner said "No photo please" *oppsie*

Carrot cake. So-so only

The chocolate is like a syrup which is really thick and viscous! So YUM!

Look at the thickness with milk poured on top of the chocolate "syrup"

Just next to chocolate boutique cafe

Jo was told about a chinese restaurant with pretty good food. Hence, without thinking, we drove from Parnell to K-road in the city. K-road is actually Karangahape Road in full. It is a long street where there are different restaurants, shops including those selling dodgy stuff. You know what I mean lar.

We did lots of round looking for the restaurant so decided to just park our car in front of a turkish restaurant. Okay, a very embarrassing incident happened here. It took me 15-20mins to get into a parking lot. *i can't do parallel parking!!* Then when I have successfully got into the space, the diners clapped. *I very paiseh man* Worst is when I got out of the car, i realised the parking lot was really spacious! -_-"

Oh gees, Jo and I really couldn't find the restaurants even after meeting up with Bea halfway at the Asian grocery shop. Consequently, we just thought of going to Daikoku in the city. We walked up the slope to Bea's car and then saw the restaurant!!! Sooo happy! We went in without any hesitation.

Feel so homey cos of the environment
