Short holiday in Dunedin (July22-26) part 1

Am I glad that it is Sunday tomorrow! Sunday used to be a day I dislike because of work but now it has become my day off! YeeeHaaaa~ I desperately need to rest after working for a number of days before going to Dunedin and continued working again till tonight ever since the next day I came back from the cold South. Finally the day I have been waiting for has come. While writing this, I am thinking about a piece of jigsaw puzzle. I hope that it will be found in the near future.
---- calling Juang ---- Initially, just planned to talk 30mins then i could continue blogging and watch Pirates of Carribean 4 (I know I am outdated!). Who knows the so-called 30mins become 1.30 hours. It's good catching up with her though.

Anyhoo, I have divided my entry about my short break in Dunedin into 6 parts. Yeah, there are just too many photos that I have uploaded and saved as draft using my internet quota I have left for July. Just hope that I don't need to pay extra for internet bill at the end of the month.

Without further ado, I am going to tell my readers , YOU, my exciting trip in Dunedin slowly. On 22nd July, I woke up early just to catch the bus from Whangarei up to Auckland (I was really tired considering I only finished work at 9pm the day before). Before reaching Auckland domestic airport, I had to change bus twice. It was a brand new experience for me because I had to make sure I got on the right bus and waited at the right bus stop. Waited at the airport for about 2.30 hours before departing to Dunedin with 40mins of transit in Christchurch. I felt that I had been travelling the whole day from 8.50am till 6.30pm. When I was at the airport, I wished that I was catching the plane back to Brunei. =(

Two hunks came to pick me up - Jon and Raymond. Thank you sexy! (Oh .. .. Dunedin was so cold when I arrived. I guessed I am used to Whangarei's weather. Even when they mentioned that it was 6 D. Celsius in Christchurch at that moment, I was like..O.M.G . . . I really din't dare to imagine what's Dunedin's. -_-")

First stop - Jon's flat aka my ex-flat at Cargill Street to put down my luggage
After that, went to Hercus Cal to get Zai and Mizah and took picture with hafiz since he's there
Hmm . . . they look like two couples aye. . . look at the colour of their jackets
yes! eating! dinner! makan! Where? --> GuangZhou, a Chinese restaurant
Bespectacled ladies
Corn soup
SiChuan Fish
Egg plant with egg
My favourite! Honey prawn

Ah gong limteh

Chicken (can't remember the exact name. It sure is spicy)
Zai had gastric hence we went to Countdown to get Gaviscon tablets. Suprisingly, the cheerful and bright twin Shiou Yii was there. *giggle*
At Teachers college to watch rehearsal by Indonesian club for Dunedin Cultural Concert (next entry)
Arghh. . . sandwiched by two FAT PUFFY guys ..I seemed to enjoy every moment of it though *heeee*

Before heading home, we had a ICC meeting at 11pm till 1am at OUSA office. Yeah, this event is the main reason that I flew down to Dunedin, apart from catching up with friends. I sure was exhausted after the gathering. There goes my first day in Dunedin

Short break in Dunedin (22-26 July) - Part 5

TGIS in opposed to TGIF! This is because Sat is my last working day of the week. Then then after that, 3 days short holidays *woot woot* Nah, not really a holiday lar. I need to do some revision or paperwork during the day then enjoy when the sun slowly goes down.

The rain is pouring so heavily at this moment reminding me of the song "xia yu tian" by nan quan ma ma. Here's the lyric with direct Chinese to English translation click here I feel that I am missing in someting . . . A thing that is baby blue in colour . . . Yeah-la, I need at least a dose of zopiclone to make me sleep without interruptions by a troublemaker. See, I think the stage of my mentality is at its lowest point now that I don't even know what I am writing . . . yeah yeah, I need to sleep soon . . . and you know that? I am gonna sleep in! *ecstatic*

Anyway, I gonna continue my entry about my Dunedin trip. This was the day before I left Dunedin the next day. In the morning, I had an appointment with a lecturer that left me with no choice but to walk down the slope in my heels. Oh My God~ I seriously hate doing this because I had no idea how many times I almost slipped. It reached to a point that I had to stop walking because I was so scared I would just lost balance and fell on my butt or my face.

Walking on the slippery ground with heels is a BIG challenge

~Jon's baby~

Guess what? The lecturer I was supposed to meet was not there cos' she was stuck in Wellington due to the snow. *sigh* Okie, I just went to hunter to look for Zai~
Oh man~I miss Hunter . . . where I had my workshops . . . hung out with classmates

Okay. . . I really need a pair of shoes to last my day in the snowy Dunedin. . . *excuse to get new pair of shoes!* no.1 shoe warehouse was closed . . . *oh no*
Next stop: Hannah at Meridian Mall
Trying on shoes

Okay, this is completely not my style but what to do? safety comes first

After this, Zai and I had lunch at chopstick 101!
Minced pork + egg with rice
Thank you uncle of chopstick 101 for treating me pearl milk tea!
