Pharmacy setting

Yippeee!! I get both coming Monday and Tuesday off but not looking forward to Wednesday when I will be working from 9-9. I really hope that my stuff from Dunedin arrive tomorrow so I can start unpacking especially my teddy and keyboard! I miss my Teddy bear very much! I spent a lot of money this week buying stuff online because I just feel like it. Heeee but I really need to save money. *control + resist the temptation* I need to go to town to get some shorts and T-shirt for gym tomorrow though (excuse to shop). I even got something from the pharmacy today. It is not good to work in a pharmacy where there is also shop floor!

Back to Yesterday . . . I went to the library to borrow books on piano/keyboard including easy/basic classical music scores and 3 novels. I used to love reading a lot but not anymore. Nevertheless, I am hoping to gain that interest back! After that, Esther and I went to Wendy's for cold stuff! I had cookies and cream milk shake cos' the weather was really hot! After that, we left after one hour for Gulliver's Travel at the cinema. Err...don't expect too much about this cinema if you are coming to experience it.

My 3D glasses for Gulliver's Travel! It is actually a big hassle needing to wear two pair of glasses. Should I just get contact lens?

We sat by the window and the angle of the photo is wrong wrong wrong

Back to today . . . I worked from 10-6 today and I actually enjoy it very much because of the peacefulness, (neither busy nor quiet) and the people working today are those I love working with plus I not only stayed in the dispensary all the time, but also went out to the shop serving customers to improve my communication skill. Oh yeah, I did something . . . took photos of the pharmacy! I am not sure if that is allowed but it is for remembrance in the future as I like to reminisce which is the sole reason that I blog. Let's look at the photos, shall we?

The Dispensary

Phoebe, the pharmacist, checking if I dispense/input them correctly. She is a really nice and meticulous pharmacist who has the potential to be one of the best pharmacists in the pharmacy world.

One of my colleagues, J.Lee - bubbly, funny and easy to talk to!

This is just one area of the dispensary. The pharmacy I am working in is quite big.

 At the shop

I din camwhoring. I was really doing some work! CONCENTRATE!!

Oh yeah, it is not usually this empty. There are more staff working during weekdays and the dispensary is always full, to the extent that I usually have difficulties finding a space on the bench for dispensing. Even in the shop, people are always waiting for their prescriptions and many customers coming in to buy something. Phones are always ringing asking this and that. However, today, there are only 7 of us working which makes it quite easy to work plus there were not many patients to handle today.

Okay this is posing like a tortoise with a spatula ready to count pills

 Okay, continue working

My little notebook to jot down important points about pharmacy

 Check Check Check

My uniform! Look at the skirt, it is supposedly to be long  but I look like a o-ba-san if I just wear it long due to my elephant legs and being short.

I realise one thing --> I need a hair cut (just layer it) and lose some fats on my face

Compounding is quite long for huge amount of cream. My record was 2.15 hours for one product! I still remember that I need to squeeze 13 tubes of dermol cream then use geometric dilution to mix the ingredients. There is one ingredient that I don't fancy - Salicylic Acid because I hate those lumps which are hard to dissolve! A perfect mixture = smooth, even colour and lump-free

I only wish that there is electronic balance that I can use for weighing

This is the room for blister packing, compounding and where oral liquids are kept. All the antibiotics in liquid form are made up fresh! Compounding and making up antibiotics are the time I get to exercise my arm muscles. Weigh, add, shake, Slide Slide slab slab slab. . .

Trying on the various stylish hats. I should get a hat while driving to prevent sunburn! Seriously, I get sunburn very easily - my face is very dry to the extent that peeling can be seen especially on the right side when the sun just shines directly on it. I could feel the strong heat!

 Salesgirl - Hey! Whatsapp me!

Aww..Soooo pretty! The prettiest photo of her *joking* This is just one of them

-The End-
